STOREHOUSE TERMS
Simple rules, written for humans.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Storehouse should be safe, fair and easy to understand. These terms explain what we ask from you and what you can expect from us.
The short version
- ·Your work is yours. We do not take ownership of it, sell it, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.
- ·We look after your files, make it easy for you to organise and share them, and give you a straightforward way to take them with you.
- ·In return, please only keep things here that you have the right to keep, and do not use Storehouse to harm people, break the law, spread malware, or turn a free account into an anonymous download service.
- ·If something goes wrong, we will try to be clear, fair and human about it.
Who these terms are with
Storehouse by NIVA is provided by Stuart Semple Studios Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom, company number 11988049, with its registered office at London Studio, 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. In these terms, “Storehouse”, “NIVA”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.
By creating an account or using Storehouse, you agree to these terms. If you use Storehouse for a company, studio or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to agree to them on its behalf.
Your work is yours
We do not own your work and we do not claim ownership of it.
You give us only the permission we need to run Storehouse: to store your files, make previews and backups, process them so features work, and show or send them to people when you tell us to. We do not sell your work, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.
That permission ends when your work is deleted from Storehouse, apart from temporary copies and anything we are legally required to preserve for a limited time.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and share what you put in Storehouse.
Taking it with you
Your files should never become a hostage to your subscription.
You can download your work while your account is active. If a payment fails or you cancel a paid plan, we may stop new uploads or sharing when you are over the free limits, but we will not delete your work without warning just because a payment failed.
Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will give you a reasonable chance to download your files before an account is closed. The exception is material we are legally required to block, remove, preserve or not return.
Accounts and plans
Keep your login details safe and do not let other people use your account as if it were theirs.
The free Creator plan is for normal creative use and currently includes 50 files and 5 GB of storage. Paid plans, prices and limits are shown clearly before you subscribe.
Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel them. You can cancel at any time, and your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. If the law gives you a cancellation or refund right, you keep it.
If we change the price of a paid plan, we will tell you before the new price is charged. You can cancel instead.
What you can keep here
Your work, and work you have the right to hold.
Please do not upload, store, collect or share:
- ·anything illegal;
- ·anything that infringes somebody else’s copyright, privacy or other rights;
- ·child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other material that is illegal to possess or share;
- ·malware, malicious code, scams or files intended to damage, deceive or compromise another person or system;
- ·material used primarily to threaten, seriously harass or deliberately harm someone; or
- ·anything designed to abuse Storehouse, evade our limits, or turn the service into anonymous mass file distribution.
We know creative work can be challenging, political, strange, difficult or provocative. These rules are about unlawful and abusive use, not policing taste.
The free plan is for making things, not running a file host
The free plan exists so people can try Storehouse properly and so creative people are not shut out just because they cannot pay.
It is not intended to be the file server behind a website, a CDN, a piracy mirror, or an anonymous high-volume download service. If ordinary creative sharing suddenly becomes popular, that is not a problem. If an account is clearly being used as infrastructure for mass distribution, we may pause the relevant share link and get in touch.
Sharing
A share link works for anyone who has it. Treat it like a key.
You can revoke a share link at any time. The page and new downloads stop straight away. Because of the way files are served, something somebody already has open can keep working for up to six hours, so allow that long for a file to disappear from the internet completely. Someone who has already downloaded a file will still have their own copy.
Collect links let other people send files into your Storehouse. Only send them to people you trust, and remember that you are responsible for what you choose to keep after it arrives.
If something is wrong
Anyone can report a share link, either from the link itself or by getting in touch and choosing “Report something”. We review reports and, where a judgement is needed, a person is involved.
If something looks clearly illegal or seriously abusive, we may remove it, disable its links, restrict the account, preserve relevant evidence, and make any report or disclosure the law requires.
If it is a judgement call, we may temporarily disable a share link while we work it out rather than closing the whole account.
If we restrict or suspend you, we will normally tell you what happened and why, unless the law or a genuine safety reason prevents us from doing that. You can ask us to look again by getting in touch and choosing “Appeal a decision”.
There are situations where we may have to block all access, including downloads, particularly where material is illegal to possess or where the law requires us to preserve or withhold it.
We do not go looking through your studio
Your private creative work is not there for our entertainment. We do not routinely inspect private files simply because you store them with us.
We may use reasonable automated security measures, investigate material that is reported or shared, and review or preserve material where we reasonably need to protect Storehouse, our users or other people, or where the law requires it.
Deleting
Deleted files stay in your bin for 30 days so you can change your mind. After that, they are deleted from the live service and we cannot promise to get them back.
If you want to close your whole account, get in touch and we will sort it out with you. We will tell you what will happen to the remaining files and give you a chance to download them first where it is safe and lawful to do so.
Our side of it
We take reasonable care of Storehouse and use reputable infrastructure, backups and security measures. But no online storage service is perfect and no service can promise that a file will never be lost or that Storehouse will never be interrupted.
Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot bear to lose. That is good advice whoever you store it with.
Sometimes we will need to fix, update or temporarily pause part of the service. We will try to keep disruption sensible and tell you about planned disruption when it is significant.
If Storehouse ever closes
If we ever decide to close Storehouse, we will not quietly disappear with your files. Where reasonably possible, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and a practical way to download your work before the service closes.
There may be exceptional situations where that much notice is impossible, for example a legal order or an event genuinely outside our control. We will still do what we reasonably can to protect access to your work.
Changes to these terms
Products change, so these terms may need to change too.
If we make a change that materially affects your rights, your files, your paid plan or the way we use your work, we will tell you before it takes effect, not afterwards. If you do not want to accept a material change, you can stop using Storehouse and take your files with you.
Privacy
Your files and your account information are different things. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, the service providers we use, how long we keep information and the choices you have.
The simple version is that we use information to run Storehouse, keep it secure, support you, take payment where relevant, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law says cannot be taken away, and nothing excludes responsibility for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else we are not legally allowed to exclude.
Apart from that, we are responsible for losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control, or for losses that could reasonably have been avoided by keeping a separate copy of an irreplaceable file.
If you use Storehouse for a business, studio or organisation, we are not responsible for indirect loss, lost profit, lost revenue or lost business opportunity. For business users, our total liability relating to Storehouse is limited to the amount you paid us for Storehouse in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Ending your account
You can stop using Storehouse whenever you like.
We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment, security risk, abuse of the service, or where the law requires us to. Unless there is an urgent safety or legal reason, we will try to warn you and give you a chance to put things right first.
Closing an account does not remove rights or responsibilities that already arose before it closed.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are using Storehouse as a consumer, you still keep any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, and nothing here is intended to take those away.
